The Calm Before the Storm?

Captain Anderson announced that we should be arriving at Paloma sometime tomorrow afternoon. I’m not sure if I’m glad that we’re finally getting there or worried about what we may find.

Atiya gave her presentation last night to a mostly empty cafeteria. The few who were there seemed to be more interested than the ones at my presentation had, but I guess gravitational research was a bit more exciting-sounding field than marine genetics.

Later we did stop by the mini-sub for a while. She was a bit more… enthusiastic than she had been in the past. I didn’t know it was because we had a shared connection now, or if she was just putting on a show. I couldn’t really argue either way.

I did manage to “accidentally” pull out one of the wires along the way. We’ll see how soon it takes someone to repair it.

I also mentioned to Darrin that the crew had asked us to stay out of the cargo bay. He was pretty upset at the thought that someone might have been watching them, but I managed to calm him down before he stormed off to confront Captain Anderson. When Atiya offered her cabin, it seemed to mollify him somewhat.

I’m not sure what it matters though, it’s pretty evident that everyone knows everyone else’s business here.

Well… not all of it. I still haven’t received any feedback on any of these posts, so I don’t know if they are being seen or not. Nevertheless, if something does happen to us out here, at least someone will know what happened.

And Dr. Pickman, you owe me more than a dinner for this.
